AWAKE! Tribe of Levi 2007 Winter Conference.
Three Days of Fasting, Prayer, Extravagant Worship and Consecration to God
Hi, this is Scott Brenner. I want to personally invite you to come and join me on January 1 ~ 3, 2007, for an event we’re calling AWAKE! It is our first annual Tribe of Levi Conference. We’re subtitling it “Three Days of Fasting, Prayer, Extravagant Worship and Consecration to God.” We will be meeting at Oryun Church, which is located directly across from the Olympic Park in Seoul. It will be a time to seek the face of God, to fast, pray, worship, to cry out for spiritual awakening and to consecrate ourselves afresh to God. We’re asking those who attend to prayerfully consider fasting in some form throughout the three days of the meetings. We’d like to ask you to fast from something. Perhaps it’s a fast from the internet. Maybe it’s a fast from some favorite food. Ask the Holy Spirit what it can be that you can set aside, as we set aside ourselves to seek God’s face.
The Bible says that David would not offer to God a sacrifice that cost him nothing. It’s the costly sacrifice that is pleasing to God. We read in John 12 about Mary of Bethany when she brought that costly sacrifice of the fragrant spikenard oil in the alabaster box. She broke that alabaster box open, and she spent it on the Master. The Bible says that Jesus was moved. He was touched; it ministered to Jesus deeply. Sometimes we have a hard time believing that we can actually minister to Jesus. But the Bible says that He receives our worship. When we offer to Him ourselves, we are the costly sacrifice. When we offer ourselves as living sacrifices, it’s a pleasing sacrifice to God.
So come and join with us on January 1 ~ 3, 2007 at Oryun Church. We’re calling the event “AWAKE!”, because we are asking and believing for a great spiritual awakening in Korea and the nations. The Bible says “Awake, O sleeper, and rise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.” (Ephesians 5:14). Come join with us, and let’s together begin the New Year by consecrating ourselves afresh to the living God. The year 2007 is the Centennial for the 1907 Korean Revival. We want to begin this New Year by worshiping God and seeking Him with all our hearts. You can visit the schedule page of this website for specific meeting times and other details. God bless you! We hope to see you there!
