“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.” 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24.
The Scriptures declare repeatedly that God is faithful. Even if we are faithless, God remains faithful. He cannot deny His nature. Praise God for His faithfulness! We are saved by God’s faithfulness in keeping His covenant with us through the mercies of Jesus.
We live in an age that does not always place a great value on faithfulness. Business decisions are often made on the basis of whether breaking a promise will nevertheless be a good business decision. As a result, keeping faith often becomes less of a consideration. Many times, even if a business is sued for failing to keep its promises, the company may nevertheless choose to openly breach the agreement, knowing that the profit to be made will eventually outweigh the cost of the breach.
This type of thinking can spill over into our personal lives. As a result, it becomes commonplace practice to place little premium on keeping faith. Nearly three thousand years ago, the psalmist lamented, “Help, Lord, for the godly man ceases! For the faithful disappear from among the sons of men. They speak idly everyone with his neighbor; with flattering lips and a double heart they speak.” Psalm 12:1-2.
We can therefore thank God that He is a covenant-keeper. God is faithful to fulfill His promises in each of us. Think of it; the God who set everything in motion, who faithfully holds the universe together daily by the Word of His power, is also keeping faith by holding us in the palm of His hands. He is faithful to fulfill every promise He has made us.
That is why it is so important to know the promises God has made to each of His children. Great and precious promises are ours in Jesus Christ. He not only calls us into the drama of following steadfastly after Him, He also faithfully causes His perfect will to be accomplished in our lives. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.” 1 Thessalonians 5:24. God’s word promises that He is faithful to fulfill the good work He has initiated in each believer: “[B]eing confident in this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Hallelujah for His faithfulness!
This year has already been busy one for Scott Brenner Ministries and Tribe of Levi. The January AWAKE meetings in Seoul were powerful times for all who participated. In March we were back in Nashville for several weeks for meetings and office administration before returning to Korea. In April we travel with the Tribe of Levi team to Taipei, Taiwan for ministry, then travel from Korea the following week with our team to the United States for ministry in Southern California. Other ministry invitations for this year include Vancouver, BC; Tokyo, Japan; Sao Paulo, Brazil; and the Netherlands. Please pray for us as we prayerfully seek God concerning His leading and timing. It is our desire to see the nations awakened! We love you in Jesus and thank God for your prayers and support for us as together we take the gospel to the nations.
We trust and pray that the faithfulness of God will overtake each of you in your day-to-day plans and activities.
Blessings in Jesus,
Scott and SungHee Brenner
